Six individuals have been transported to hospital following a serious incident at a Boston transit station, which triggered a substantial police deployment and led to the partial closure of the facility on Friday morning.

The event unfolded late Friday morning at the Forest Hills station, located in the Jamaica Plain neighbourhood of Boston. According to City Councilor Benjamin Weber, who posted details on social media platform X, the situation involved a transit officer. In response, multiple units from Boston Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene.
Emergency Services and Hospital Transports
A spokesperson confirmed in an official statement that six people were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The upper busway of the station was shut down at approximately 11:15 a.m., with bus services being rerouted to an alternative section to maintain operations.
Authorities Remain Tight-Lipped
When contacted by phone, a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police dispatcher declined to answer any questions regarding the incident. Emails seeking further information were directed to media addresses for the MBTA. A Boston Police dispatcher indicated that city police were providing assistance to MBTA police at the location.
Visual Evidence of the Scene
Video footage shared online depicted more than a dozen police vehicles and at least two ambulances stationed outside the Forest Hills transit station. Officers were visible standing behind yellow police tape, which cordoned off a wide area outside the station entrance, highlighting the scale of the response.
The incident has raised concerns about safety and security at public transit facilities, with authorities yet to release detailed information on the nature of the event or the conditions of those hospitalised.
