UK Bank Holidays 2026: Next One Next Week on July 13

The UK government has confirmed the remaining bank holidays for 2026, with six still to come before the end of the year. The next bank holiday falls on Monday, July 13, when Northern Ireland observes the Battle of the Boyne bank holiday (substitute day).

Upcoming Bank Holidays in 2026

Following the July 13 holiday, the next bank holiday arrives on Monday, August 3, when Scotland marks its Summer bank holiday. The remainder of the UK—England, Wales and Northern Ireland—will observe their Summer bank holiday on Monday, August 31.

Later in the year, Scotland exclusively will enjoy a bank holiday on Monday, November 30, for St Andrew's Day. The entire UK will then mark a bank holiday for Christmas Day on December 25, and a substitute bank holiday for Boxing Day on Monday, December 28. This replacement date has been arranged because Boxing Day falls on a Saturday this year.
