A man has been charged following a report of a potential kidnapping in Treherbert, with additional charges including sexual communication with a child and assault.

Samuel Hyde, 35, from Lancashire, has been charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child, breach of a sexual harm protection order, possession of a knife or blade in a public place, and assaulting a girl under 13 by touching. He is due to appear before court on July 2, 2026.
The charges stem from an incident alleged to have taken place on Tuesday, June 30, in Treherbert. South Wales Police arrested a man following a report of a potential kidnapping on that date.

Samuel Hyde, 35 from Lancashire has been charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child, breach of a sexual harm protection order, possession of a knife/blade in a public place and assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, and will appear before court this morning."
