An 18-year-old man has died and two others, aged 18 and 17, were injured after a car crashed into a tree in Allostock, near Northwich, Cheshire, on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 PM on Holmes Chapel Road, prompting an emergency response from police, fire crews, and paramedics.
Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Cheshire Police confirmed that the front seat passenger, an 18-year-old man from Northwich, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
The driver, also an 18-year-old man from Davenham, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital, where his condition is described as critical. A rear seat passenger, a 17-year-old boy from Northwich, was also injured and taken to hospital, where his condition is stable.

Fire Service Extricated Three Casualties
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving one car in Northwich. The roof of the vehicle was removed and three casualties were extricated and handed over to paramedics, who transported them to hospital. Police were also in attendance.”
The grey Vauxhall Corsa had collided with a tree, and the road was cordoned off while emergency services worked at the scene. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the fatal crash.
