Twin sisters from Hull were left unconscious and foaming at the mouth after being handed a vape laced with MDMA and spice, in what their mother has described as a 'sick prank'. Kay Fores, 37, received a frantic call while at work on April 29th, informing her that her 13-year-old daughters, Scarlett and Olivia Bywood, had been discovered unconscious in a local park.
The twins had met a group of girls they recognised from 'the other side of town' and were given what they believed to be an ordinary vape. Within ten minutes, both collapsed, with Scarlett foaming at the mouth. The group allegedly fled the scene, leaving the teenagers on the ground. A neighbour spotted the girls and called an ambulance, alerting Kay and her sister.
Kay arrived at Hull Royal Infirmary to find both daughters unconscious and on IV drips. Doctors conducted blood tests, confirming the vape had been spiked with MDMA and spice. The girls remained unconscious for around six hours and were discharged the following morning with minor injuries, including a head wound and a black eye.
Kay said: 'If they hadn't been found at the park, they would be dead. They didn't know anything about these vapes, they were just given them and gave it a go.' She added that the twins 'can't remember anything' and were 'quite shocked' by the ordeal. Kay believes her daughters will never vape again and has urged other parents to be aware of the risks.
Kay has reported the incident to the police and shared the story on social media, where users labelled it a 'sick' prank. She hopes to prevent similar incidents, warning: 'I want other kids to realise not to touch anybody's vape at all. Because the next person could be dead.'
