Big Brother UK stars Elsa Rae and Marcus John have announced their engagement and first pregnancy together, sharing the exciting double news just months after finding love on the reality show.
Engagement and Baby News
Content creator Elsa, 21, and Marcus, 22, struck up a romance on the reality programme back in September. Elsa revealed the joyful news on social media on Thursday, proudly displaying her diamond engagement ring. The couple looked loved-up as they snuggled together for a collection of photos. Marcus got down on one knee during an intimate picnic proposal, where they also discovered their baby's gender.
Elsa appeared sitting on a picnic blanket, dressed in a white cap-sleeve gown. She captioned the post: "The most special ring, on the most special day, we have come so far."
Social Media Reactions
Elsa proudly showed off the dazzling rock on her finger throughout the images. Their followers flooded the comment section with messages of congratulations. Joe Baggs wrote: "ENGAGED??!?!?!??!? WE LOVE TO SEE IT." A second posted: "Ahhhh, it's just good news after good news, congrats guys."
Pregnancy Announcement
Just last month, the pair revealed they are expecting their first baby together. The couple announced the pregnancy on Instagram on Sunday, March 29. The pair admitted their excitement at the prospect of becoming parents. Their upload featured a picture of their baby scan placed alongside a white baby grow with the words "and then there were three" printed in black italic writing, with a small love heart underneath.
The picture also featured a neutral-toned knitted pair of baby booties, as well as a coordinating comforter featuring a bunny rabbit. They captioned the post: "We've been keeping a little secret…our bubba due October 2026! We are so very excited."
Love Story Timeline
In November 2025, following the Big Brother final, Marcus made a big gesture over his feelings for girlfriend Elsa as they shared a look at their newfound life together following the end of the show. At the time they posted a video filmed inside a lavish hotel room in Manchester, which showed the room from floor to ceiling covered with red heart balloons, with a trail of red rose petals leading to the huge bed. Written across one of the balloons was the question "Will you be my girlfriend?" and the video was dubbed with the iconic Dirty Dancing theme song, (I've Had) The Time of My Life.
The Big Brother finale saw Cameron, Elsa, Richard, Tate, Jenny and Emily go head to head to take the victory, with Richard ultimately picked as the Big Brother winner by the public, bagging the £100,000 prize.
