A man's body has been discovered near a primary school in Willenhall, West Midlands, prompting a police investigation. The body was found on Delamere Road on Tuesday morning, less than a mile from New Invention Infant School.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.25am after the death was reported by the ambulance service. A cordon has been set up on a stretch of green space opposite houses, and police are working to establish the circumstances.
West Midlands Police have appealed for information, asking anyone with details to call 101 quoting incident number 610 of 3 February. The man has not yet been named.
Local residents have expressed sadness on social media, with one writing: 'Such sad news sorry to hear it.' Another said: 'Awful. Rest in Peace.'
