Emergency services are battling a significant blaze at a hotel in Glasgow city centre, which led to the evacuation of approximately 120 people on Monday night.

An SFRS spokesperson stated: "We were alerted at 10.24pm on Monday to reports of a building fire on Cambridge Street, Glasgow. Operations Control mobilised ten fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters are working to extinguish a well-developed fire."

The incident has caused major disruption in the area. Police have implemented road closures to facilitate the emergency operation and ensure public safety.
Cambridge Street is closed between Holland Street and Douglas Street. Additionally, Sauchiehall Street is shut between Scott Street and Douglas Street. Members of the public are being urged to avoid the vicinity to allow emergency services unimpeded access.
