Migrant Fined for Vile Abuse of Police Officer Now Claims Racism
A migrant living in Montreal, Canada, who was caught on camera hurling foul-mouthed sexist abuse at a police officer during a traffic stop, has claimed he is the victim of racism after being hit with a fine for his vile tirade. Mohamed Bekkali, 24, filmed himself ranting at a female officer in June 2025, telling her: 'If I want, I'll buy you and make you my slave.'
In the viral footage, Bekkali continued his abusive outburst, stating: 'Filthy f***ing w***e, shut your f***ing mouth, with your b***h face.' The officer had reportedly pulled him over for driving with tinted windows. The incident has sparked widespread outrage across Canada and led to calls for legal reforms regarding verbal assaults on police.
Further Abusive Encounters with Law Enforcement
Additional clips from Bekkali's since-deleted TikTok account showed him berating two more police officers. In one exchange, he told a male officer: 'I think he's angry that we f***ed his daughter yesterday.' He screamed down a street at the officers, calling one a 'bald piece of s***' and adding: 'That son of a b***h, motherf***er, that I probably f***ed his sister.'
According to Canadian outlet La Presse, Bekkali was fined $228 for his rant at the female police officer. After the videos circulated on social media, Bekkali claimed in another video that he was the victim of 'social and socio-profiling.' In his now-deleted clip defending himself, he stated he berated the police officers because he dislikes police, insisting the 'problem has never been the sex of the officer.'
History of Legal Issues and Defiant Stance
Bekkali is reported by Canadian news outlets to be a 'migrant,' though his exact origin and status in Canada remain unclear. In his social media spree defending himself, he claimed he is unfairly targeted and scrutinized, alleging he is 'arrested every day' for 'reasons that are more outlandish than the next.'
His foul-mouthed rants are not his only run-ins with the law in Canada. According to the Journal de Quebec, Canadian records show Bekkali has received at least four driving tickets in the past three years, including speeding at 55mph in a 30mph zone, 34mph in a 20mph zone, and 63mph in a 40mph zone. In 2020, he pleaded guilty to using forged documents to commit a crime and received an absolute discharge, meaning he admitted guilt but faced no penalty.
Public Outcry and Calls for Legal Reform
The abuse of the female cop in June 2025 resurfaced in recent weeks, prompting Bekkali to release his defensive clip. He briefly appeared on broadcaster Remi Villemure's 995 Montreal radio show, where he again claimed to be a victim of 'racial profiling.' He told the host that police constantly harass him due to his appearance and that he does not understand slang from 'Quebecers.'
The Montreal Police Service confirmed he was not fined at the time of the incident but later imposed a $228 penalty for his 'misogynistic and degrading' remarks after a review. This week, Canadian attorney Vicky Powell filed a police complaint against Bekkali, alleging he threatened her during a live stream online after she criticized his abuse of the officer.
Push for New Laws Against Police Insults
The saga has led Montreal lawmakers and authorities to call for new laws prohibiting insulting and shouting at police officers in the performance of their duties, as such acts are not currently directly illegal in the province. The Quebec Federation of Municipal Police Officers cited Bekkali in a statement advocating for a national framework to protect officers from verbal violence.
François Lemay, president of the FPMQ, emphasized: 'It is completely unacceptable that in Quebec we tolerate acts of verbal violence against peace officers. It is essential to establish legal limits everywhere, beyond which there are consequences.' The case continues to highlight tensions between law enforcement and individuals claiming discrimination, amid broader debates over policing and migrant rights in Canada.
