Police in Texas have issued an urgent appeal, stating a missing 19-year-old woman could be in "imminent danger" after she disappeared during an early morning walk on Christmas Eve.
New Dashcam Footage Offers Potential Clue
Authorities searching for Camila "Cami" Mendoza Olmos have released new dashcam footage captured on the morning she vanished. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said the video shows a person walking on a path alongside Wildhorse Parkway in San Antonio around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
Sheriff Javier Salazar stated the individual's clothing "certainly does match up" with what Camila was last seen wearing: a sky blue and black hoodie, pale blue pyjama bottoms, and white shoes.
Family's Desperate Search and Pleas
Camila left her family home in the 11000 block of Caspian Spring on foot for her usual morning walk but never returned. Her parents reported her missing after she failed to come back within a reasonable time.
Her father, Alfonso Mendoza, made an emotional public plea, telling CBS news: "She's out there watching this, seeing me. I miss her, come home. It's hard. It hurts. I might sound strong ... but it hurts." He revealed the family has been praying constantly for her safe return.
Camila's aunt, Nancy Olmos, shared an online appeal, describing her niece as a deeply religious young woman who had recently been baptised. Family and friends spent Christmas Day searching the local area but found no trace of her.
Police Explore All Possibilities
At a press conference, Sheriff Salazar said investigators must consider every scenario. "We've got to consider all possibilities from disappearing wilfully to the possibility of self-harm, to somebody may have taken her," he stated.
Camila is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds. Authorities believe she may have her car keys and possibly her driver's licence with her, but little else. Earlier footage from her home showed her searching inside her vehicle for an item before she left on foot.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information to contact them directly at (210) 335-6000 or via email at missingpersons@bexar.org.
