Desperate Search for Missing Teens After Car Plunges into Cambridgeshire River
A desperate search is underway for two teenagers who went missing after a car carrying five young people plunged into a river in Cambridgeshire last night. Cambridgeshire Police have confirmed that the vehicle, containing individuals aged between 16 and 18, entered the River Nene, sparking a major emergency response.

The car was travelling southbound on North Brink in Wisbech St Mary’s, Cambridgeshire, at approximately 8.20pm on Tuesday when it left the road and entered the water. According to police reports, the occupants included two males and three females, all teenagers. Three of them—two females and one male—managed to escape the vehicle and were subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn with non-life-threatening injuries.
However, a male and a female remain unaccounted for, prompting an intensive search operation. Police divers and emergency services are currently on the scene, scouring the River Nene in a bid to locate the missing individuals. North Brink is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day as the investigation continues.

Cambridgeshire Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage related to the incident. A spokesperson stated, "We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage. Anyone with information about the incident should use the reference incident 515 of 17 March and report it through the Cambridgeshire Police website."
