Police Search for Teenage Boy at Clifton Country Park

Police are conducting a search operation at Clifton Country Park in Salford following reports of a teenage boy in difficulty in the water on Saturday evening. Specialist police drivers and a drone are being used in the search on Sunday morning. A large area near a bridge crossing over the River Irwell has been cordoned off.

Incident Details

According to reports, a teenage boy entered the water along with other youngsters. A teenage girl was pulled out of the River Irwell by friends; she is unhurt but traumatised. Another boy who entered the water managed to get out himself. The incident occurred near a stretch of sand by a bridge at the park.
