Woman Arrested After Knife Incident at Leeds Asda

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested following an alleged knife incident at an Asda supermarket in Leeds. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the store on Killingbeck Drive.

West Yorkshire Police received reports at 4.36pm that a customer was making threats with a knife. Security staff detained the woman before police arrived and arrested her on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The woman sustained a minor hand injury and was taken to hospital. Another woman also suffered a minor hand injury during the incident. Leeds CID is continuing enquiries.
