Woman Faces Over a Decade in Prison for Interstate Stalking and Violent Car Chase
In a shocking case of alleged domestic violence, a scorned woman from Denver, Colorado, drove across state lines to pursue her ex-boyfriend in a dangerous car chase, according to police reports. Jordan Alexis Semien, 27, is accused of violating a protection order for the third time on Monday, leading to a series of aggressive incidents in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Dramatic Confrontation in Cheyenne Parking Lot
The ex-boyfriend, who has not been publicly identified, returned to his home in Cheyenne on Monday to find Semien blocking his vehicle in the apartment parking lot, as detailed in an affidavit reviewed by Cowboy State Daily. Despite managing to maneuver around her and leave the area, Semien allegedly followed him onto East 12th Street, escalating the confrontation.
Violent Collisions and Attempted Entry
Semien reportedly crashed her car into his, forcing him to hit a stop sign and spin out into the street. The mother-of-two then exited her vehicle and began banging on his window, attempting to gain entry into his car. Fearing for his safety as the window threatened to break, the ex-boyfriend sped away down Madison Avenue, but Semien pursued him once more, striking his vehicle again and causing another spin-out.
Arrest and Charges Following the Incident
After initially fleeing the scene, Semien returned and was found arguing with an individual in the street when police arrived. Upon noticing officers, she attempted to flee again but was apprehended. She later claimed to police that she did not recognize the driver as her ex-boyfriend and admitted to reckless driving and hitting his vehicle at an intersection. However, street camera footage captured her aggressive actions, and her car was discovered two blocks away with significant front-end damage.
Legal Consequences and Ongoing Detention
Semien was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where she remains as of Wednesday morning. She faces serious charges including aggravated assault and battery, violating a protection order, and reckless driving, which could result in more than 10 years of imprisonment.
