Security Firm First Response Ordered to Wind Up by High Court

First Response Security Team Limited, a Luton-based security company that claimed over 30 years of industry experience, has been ordered into compulsory liquidation by the High Court. The winding-up order was issued on June 24, 2026, following a petition filed on May 5, 2026, according to a notice in The London Gazette.

Company Background and Services

Founded in 2012, First Response Security Team Limited said its senior management team brought more than three decades of industry expertise. The company provided security services to public, private, and third-sector organisations, including event management, surveillance, logistics protection, and facilities management.

On its website, the firm described itself as “an industry leader” offering bespoke security solutions, established after identifying shortcomings in the wider security sector. The company stated: “Our senior management team has over 30 years of industry experience. After identifying a deficiency within the security services industry, we created First Response in 2012 to begin delivering truly unparalleled security services.”

Community and Environmental Initiatives

The company also highlighted its community work, including supporting a weekly curry kitchen for homeless people and participating in Luton Foodbank's annual food drive. It claimed to have worked on reducing its carbon footprint and promoting environmentally friendly practices.

In its mission statement, First Response said its purpose was to deliver “unbeatable security services” that allowed customers to focus on running their businesses without worrying about safety. It added: “Integrity and a dedication to the pursuit of quality define everything that we do.”

Liquidation Process

The reasons behind the winding-up order have not been disclosed in the court notice. The Official Receiver, based in Birmingham, has been appointed as liquidator to oversee the company's affairs.
