The devastated family of a "devoted and loving" father have paid an emotional tribute after he was killed in a tragic road collision on a major Nottinghamshire route. Scott Beattie, a 41-year-old resident of Clipstone, died following a single-vehicle incident involving his Ford Transit van on Friday, January 23.

The fatal crash occurred at approximately 2:15pm on the A614, specifically on the stretch between Thoresby Roundabout and the Clumber Park Hotel. According to Nottinghamshire Police, Mr Beattie's van collided with a tree, leading to his untimely death. The force has confirmed that investigations into the precise circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.

DC Lane stated: "As we work to provide answers to Mr Beattie’s family, we would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van travelling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision. Any information you can provide – no matter how small it may seem – may prove crucial to our investigation."

The police have specifically requested that individuals with any relevant information, including potential dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, come forward.
