My father killed and ate his girlfriend when I was 9, then gave me a voodoo doll
Daughter reveals horror of father's cannibal murder

A woman has revealed the unimaginable horror she faced as a child after discovering her father was a murderer and cannibal. Jamie Lee Arrow was just nine years old when she learned her father, Isakin Drabbad, had killed and partially eaten his girlfriend.

A Childhood Shattered by a Father's Crimes

Jamie's parents had separated when she was very young, but she maintained contact with her father. She had grown close to his new partner, Helle Christensen, who acted as a second mother. However, the relationship between Helle and Isakin was volatile and violent, with Jamie witnessing several disturbing arguments.

The chilling premonition came true in November 2010. Drabbad, who described himself as a Satanist, slit Helle's throat, decapitated her, and consumed parts of her body. Jamie's mother attempted to shield her daughter from the gruesome truth, banning television, radio, and even school for a month to prevent her from seeing the extensive media coverage.

The Gruesome Details of a Notorious Case

During Drabbad's trial, the Swedish public learned the full, horrific extent of his actions. After murdering Helle, he used the same knife to remove her clothing and attempted to have sex with her corpse. He then used a knife, saw, and axe to sever her head.

Drabbad proceeded to cut flesh from Helle's limbs, frying it with cannabis leaves as a garnish. He reportedly also intended to eat her head. The case quickly became a national scandal.

Jamie's fragile protection from the facts shattered during a trip to a shop. "All of a sudden I saw my dad's face all across, like, Sweden's biggest newspaper," she recalled. Unfamiliar with the word "cannibal," she later searched for it online, a discovery that horrified her. "I just couldn't accept that my dad would have anything to do with that word," she said.

Life in the Shadow of a 'Cannibal's Daughter'

Even after being convicted and sent to a secure mental institution, Karsudden Regional Hospital, Drabbad continued to seek attention. He started a blog discussing his crimes and launched an online store selling voodoo dolls signed in his own blood, bearing the slogan "They call me Skara Cannibal."

His notoriety devastated Jamie's adolescence. Bullied relentlessly at school, she was known only as "the cannibal's daughter." This ostracisation led her down a dark path; she dropped out of school at 14, fell in with a bad crowd, and became addicted to drugs by 15.

During a prison visit as a teenager, Drabbad compounded her trauma by giving her one of his blood-signed voodoo dolls, telling her it would kill the children who bullied her. This act, combined with what she describes as his "brainwashing," left her deeply troubled.

Ultimately, Drabbad severed contact himself, sending Jamie a threatening text message warning her and her family never to reach out again. While painful, this act provided her with crucial closure. "It gave me the closure I needed. It was like I needed that to understand how sick it all is," she explained.

Now, Jamie's mission is to protect her own children from any similar darkness. "I never want them to be introduced to any kind of darkness," she stated, determined to break the cycle of trauma that began with her father's heinous crimes.
