Emergency services rushed to Watermead Country Park in Leicestershire on Saturday, July 4, after a body was discovered in the water. Police are treating the death as unexplained.

Leicestershire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service responded to a call at 2:28 pm reporting a body in the water at the 350-acre park. The man was quickly recovered from the water but was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from first responders.
Investigation Underway
Police have not yet released the man's identity or age. The death is being treated as unexplained while officers conduct enquiries to determine the circumstances. A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police received a call at 2.28pm today (Saturday 4 July) regarding a report of a body in the water at Watermead Country Park. Officers attended at the location and the body of a man was removed a short time after. Colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance also attended and the man was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained as enquiries continue."
