A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "Around 9.15pm on Saturday, 4 July, 2026, we were made aware of a man having taken unwell and later taken to hospital. Officers attended a property in Bonnyrigg in relation following a report of a possible hazardous material. Inquiries were carried out and it was confirmed not to be hazardous. There was no risk to the wider public."
