Two people were taken to hospital following a collision between a car and a police vehicle in Rochdale on Friday evening. The incident occurred on John Street at around 7:42pm on June 26, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Details of the Incident

Emergency services responded to the scene at the junction of St Mary's Gate, Whitworth Road, and John Street. A man and a woman were taken to hospital for treatment. They were later discharged with minor injuries, police confirmed.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crash. A GMP spokesperson stated: "Police were called around 7.42pm. RTC between car and police vehicle on St Mary's Gate. A man and woman were taken to hospital. They have since been discharged with minor injuries. No arrests."

Scene and Recovery

Cordons were put in place at the junction to allow for investigation and recovery. A badly damaged vehicle was recovered from the scene. The road was closed for a period but has since reopened.
