Harry and Meghan's Habit Raises Suspicions: Royal Expert

A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's habit of frequently complimenting each other in public 'raises suspicions' about their relationship. In the book Divide and Rule: Royal Women and Their Battles, author Catherine Mayer quotes an unnamed source who has closely observed the couple.

'The thing that raises my suspicions is that they say too much about each other publicly,' the source said. 'If you're in love with your husband or your wife, you don't need to be saying that every five minutes to the outside world.'

Couple's Life After Royal Duties

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to the United States. Since then, royal watchers have closely followed their activities and public statements. The couple, who first met on a blind date in 2016, have frequently spoken about their love and support for each other in interviews and public appearances.

Their upcoming visit to the UK in July 2026 will be their first with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since 2022. According to HELLO! magazine, the children will stay with their parents at a royal residence but will not attend any public engagements. The family will split their time between royal and private accommodations.

Royal Wedding and Public Interest

Harry and Meghan married at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2018. An estimated 1.9 billion people watched the ceremony worldwide, according to People magazine, making it one of the most-watched televised events in history.

The couple's relationship began with a trip to Botswana in August 2016, just weeks after their first date. In a post-engagement BBC interview, Harry recalled: 'It was three, maybe four, weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come join me in Botswana, and we camped out with each other, under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic. Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to get to know each other.'
