Mia Khalifa has revealed which teams she is supporting at this year's World Cup after an AI-generated image of her and adult star Lana Rhoades went viral on social media. The former adult actress took to X to clarify that the photo, which appeared to show the two watching the USA men's team at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, was entirely fabricated by artificial intelligence.
AI Image Debunked
The image, which circulated widely on June 13, seemed to capture Khalifa and Rhoades sitting together during the USA's 4-1 victory over Paraguay in Group D. However, Khalifa quickly dismissed the photo, taking particular issue with the USA hat she was depicted holding. She wrote on X: "It's AI, I wouldn't have a team USA hat."
Khalifa's World Cup Allegiances
Khalifa had already shared her World Cup support schedule before the image surfaced. She stated: "Today I am Bosnian, later this evening I am Paraguayan. Tomorrow at 6pm I am Moroccan, and at 9pm I am Haitian." Unfortunately for Khalifa, none of her chosen teams won their opening matches. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Morocco each earned a point, while the USA thrashed Paraguay and Scotland's John McGinn scored a winning goal against Haiti.
Lana Rhoades Plays Along
While Khalifa distanced herself from the AI image, Rhoades took a different approach. She posted the same image on social media with the caption: "Out to support my country in the World Cup," playing along with the viral moment.
Social Media Reactions
Despite the image being proven fake, social media users continued to comment. One wrote: "No wonder Paraguay is playing half field, the entire team is completely distracted looking up at the VIP section. This is tactical warfare." Another added: "Ohh now I know why USA was winning."
