Missé Beqiri, the ex-partner of late Towie star Jake Hall, has opened up about the heartbreaking question their eight-year-old daughter River asked after his sudden death. Hall, 35, died last month after his head smashed through a glass door at a villa in Mallorca. His funeral took place last week.
River's Painful Question
Beqiri, 39, told The Sun about the difficult conversation with her daughter: 'We're trying to keep her in her routine, but when I took her back to school she said, "Do people know I don't have a dad now?"' She added, 'It's so much for her little brain to process.' River is now undergoing therapy to help her cope with the loss.
'Worst Phone Call of My Life'
Beqiri described receiving the news of Hall's death as an 'awful shock' and the 'worst phone call of her life.' She recalled: 'I remember that I kept saying, "There's no way," and then everything went black. I can't remember any of it. The first person I thought about was River. How can I tell her that her dad is gone? I kept thinking, "I don't know if I am able to do this."'
Additional Trauma
The loss of Hall is particularly painful for Beqiri, as her brother Flamur Beqiri, 36, was shot dead on his doorstep by a Swedish hitman on Christmas Eve in 2019. On Father's Day, Beqiri paid tribute to both men, sharing a photo of them smiling. In the caption, she wrote: 'Two men, dads, sons, brothers. Today it's Father's Day and I'm honouring these two fathers, my brother Alex and Jake… I love you both and I know you're watching over us and the babies.'
Jake Hall's Legacy
Hall appeared on The Only Way Is Essex for almost a decade, joining in 2015 and leaving in 2024. He also ran a menswear brand called By Jake Hall. Beqiri, a model and star of Real Housewives of Cheshire, continues to support their daughter through this difficult time.
