Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens has given birth to a baby girl, her first child with husband Alex Bourne. The 32-year-old star welcomed Amelie in the early hours of 16 November, weighing in at 2.05am, with a spokeswoman confirming that both mother and baby are doing well.
Stevens, who did not know the sex of the child during pregnancy, married property developer Alex Bourne, also 32, in London last year. The couple's new arrival comes after Stevens' previous engagement to actor Jeremy Edwards, which ended in 2004.
The singer rose to fame as part of pop group S Club 7, which disbanded in 2003. She later released two solo albums, Funky Dory (2003) and Come and Get It (2005), with single Sweet Dreams My LA Ex reaching number two in the UK charts. Stevens was also runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
Taking to Twitter, Stevens expressed her gratitude: 'Thank you all for your lovely messages. We're so in love with our new little girl!'
