Social media star Alix Earle has treated her millions of followers to a series of sun-soaked snaps from her 25th birthday celebrations in Mexico, just weeks after publicly confirming the end of her two-year relationship with NFL player Braxton Berrios.
Birthday Getaway in Cabo
Earle, who turned 25 on December 16, marked the milestone with a girls' trip to the luxurious resort of Cabo San Lucas. Over the weekend, the influencer took to Instagram to share a carousel of images from the holiday, showcasing her enviable figure in a variety of stylish swimwear.
On Saturday, she posted a series of racy snapshots in a sleek black string bikini, captioning the post simply, 'girls trip ✌.' The photos featured Earle and her friends enjoying the beach, lounging by the pool, and inside a stunning mansion. She followed this on Sunday with more images, this time modelling a brown and white beaded two-piece that highlighted her toned abs.
Navigating a Public Split
The festive getaway comes on the heels of a significant personal change for Earle. Earlier in December, it was revealed that she and Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios, 30, had ended their relationship. A source told Us Weekly the pair 'mutually agreed on the split' after two years of dating, citing the challenges of a long-distance relationship as a key factor.
Earle confirmed the news herself in an emotional video shared with her online audience. Fighting back tears, the New Jersey native explained she wanted to 'talk from the heart' and had struggled to find the right time to address it.
'Part of me just also really wants to be focusing on myself right now, and I just feel like I can't be what Braxton needs,' she candidly shared. 'I want him to have someone with him 24-7 who can support him and be there for him.'
She was quick to defend Berrios, stressing he had done nothing wrong and asking her followers not to direct any hate towards him. 'I don't want anyone to come for him or be mean to him,' she pleaded, adding that they had simply gone on 'two different paths.'
Life Moves Forward
The split occurred shortly after the former couple celebrated their two-year anniversary on November 11. Their relationship had been under public scrutiny, particularly when Berrios was unable to attend several of Earle's Dancing With The Stars performances due to his NFL commitments with the Texans.
Berrios addressed one critic online at the time, explaining, 'I would've been at every one if I could've. Sadly, I can't travel like that in season.' He did manage to make it to Los Angeles for a birthday party Earle threw for him in October, thanks to a 'bye week' in his team's schedule.
Now, Earle appears to be channelling her energy into her career and friendships. Her birthday trip to Cabo, filled with laughter, cocktails, and stunning photo opportunities, signals a new chapter for the influencer as she steps into her mid-twenties as a single woman.
