Amber Luke, known as Australia's 'most tattooed woman', has revealed that her extensive body modifications, including eyeball inking, have left her temporarily blind and cost her around £177,000. The 30-year-old Instagram star, who has over 19,000 followers, says her body is covered in approximately 98% tattoos, with more than 600 designs inked onto her skin.
Luke has been open about her struggles with body image and mental health. She described the eyeball inking as the most 'painful' thing she has ever experienced, leading to blindness for three weeks. In addition to tattoos, she has undergone modifications such as horn implants on her forehead and a split tongue.
In 2021, Luke avoided jail time after pleading guilty to drug trafficking offences. According to court reports, she was given a three-year sentence with immediate parole to seek treatment for mental health issues, including schizophrenia. The court heard that she had sold nearly 2.5kg of marijuana in 48 deals over eight months, while MDMA found at her property was claimed for personal use.
Luke has shared advice for those considering tattoos, urging thorough research to avoid regret. She emphasised that her transformation was for herself, not to meet societal standards, stating: 'If you feel like you're living up to society's standards of trend setting, you're doing it wrong.'
