David and Victoria Beckham have offered a glimpse into their family Christmas celebrations, posting festive moments on Instagram from their Cotswolds estate. The posts came as their eldest son, Brooklyn, remained notably absent, spending the holiday in the United States with his wife Nicola Peltz's family amid a highly publicised family rift.
A Festive Display Amid Family Tensions
On Boxing Day, David, 50, and Victoria, 51, took to social media to share snaps and videos from their Christmas Day festivities. The couple were joined by Victoria's parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams, and David's mother, Sandra. Their children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, were all present and featured in the heartwarming family album.
However, the absence of 26-year-old Brooklyn was the elephant in the room. Last week, his brother Cruz confirmed that Brooklyn had blocked his entire immediate family on Instagram, including parents David and Victoria and even his younger sister Harper. This act is seen as the most public sign yet of a serious communication breakdown.
'We've Got Nothing to Be Sorry For'
One of the most talked-about posts was a clip of David and Victoria dancing to the classic duet 'Guilty', performed by Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. Fans were quick to note the pointed choice of song, which includes the lyric: 'And we've got nothing to be sorry for.' Victoria captioned the video: 'David and Victoria giving their very best Barry and Barbra on Christmas Day xxx kisses from us both.'
Other photos showed a sweet embrace between David and his daughter Harper, and Victoria posing with her son Cruz. The family appeared to be putting on a brave face, with David and his sons earlier seen donning Santa hats and sharing merry moments while Cruz served cocktails.
Brooklyn's Christmas Across the Pond
While his family celebrated in the English countryside, Brooklyn marked the holiday in the United States with his wife of two years, actress and heiress Nicola Peltz, 30. The aspiring chef is believed to be spending the entire festive season with Nicola's billionaire parents in Miami, Florida.
On Christmas Eve, Brooklyn posted a loved-up picture of himself and Nicola holding hands, declaring her his 'Everything'. His Christmas Day activities included playing tennis in sunny Los Angeles with American professional player Reilly Opelka and Nicola's brother, Bradley Peltz.
The divide follows months of reported tension. Relations appear to have unravelled significantly when Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend any of David's 50th birthday celebrations in May. Brooklyn also failed to acknowledge his father's recent honorary knighthood in November.
Grandparents' Heartbreak and Hopes for Reconciliation
The feud is said to be taking a particular toll on the family's grandparents. Victoria's mother, Jackie Adams, hung a Christmas stocking for Brooklyn at her Hertfordshire home alongside those for her other grandchildren, a gesture interpreted as a hopeful sign for reconciliation.
Friends of the Beckhams say both Jackie and David's mother, Sandra, are 'extremely sad' about the situation. A source noted: 'They're not getting any younger and the cold truth of it all is that nobody knows when they will see Brooklyn next.'
Despite the rift, David has previously appeared to extend public olive branches, sharing throwback photos of his sons. Meanwhile, Victoria is reportedly working hard to stay strong for her husband and their teenage daughter, Harper, as the family navigates this very public private struggle.
