Beyoncé Sends Flowers to Family of Fan Who Died After Cancer Battle

Beyoncé has sent her condolences to the family of a young Australian fan, Chelsea Lee James, who died last week after a long battle with cancer. The singer sent 90 white roses and a personally signed card to Chelsea's mother, Donna.

The card read: 'Donna, love and prayers to you and your family. Chelsea was a beautiful girl and I am so happy I was able to meet her. She touched my heart and I will never forget her.'

Beyoncé first met Chelsea during a concert in Sydney in 2009, where she brought the then 11-year-old onto the stage and sang 'Halo' to her in front of more than 20,000 people. They met again last year, when a children's charity arranged a backstage meeting during Beyoncé's Mrs Carter world tour.
