Beyond Paradise star Barbara Flynn has opened up about her unexpected side hustle. The actress, known for her role as Anne Lloyd in the BBC drama, also creates jewelry for the show and runs her own business.
Barbara Flynn's Jewelry Crafting
In a recent interview on Morning Live, the 77-year-old explained that she began making jewelry in 2000. She wanted something unique for a party and couldn't find anything suitable. Her father had dabbled in silverware, so she created a piece that people liked. This led her to explore gemstones, which opened up a new world.
Flynn also appears on today's episode of Love Your Weekend With Alan Titchmarsh on ITV, where she discusses her life and career.
Behind-the-Scenes Contribution
Beyond Paradise's costume designer asked Flynn about jewelry for her character. Flynn offered to supply pieces she had made. She now wears her own creations in every episode, saying, "I make or have made or own everything that I wear in the show."
Beyond Paradise is available on BBC iPlayer.
Barbara Flynn Jewellery Business
Flynn runs Barbara Flynn Jewellery, which uses high-quality gemstones, minerals, and precious metals. She has showcased her work at artisan boutiques in Cornwall and sells pieces via social media.
