Billy Ray Cyrus posted a video of himself serenading his second ex-wife Tish Cyrus-Purcell in honor of her 59th birthday on Wednesday, four years after their divorce.
'Happy birthday Tish,' the 64-year-old country crooner, who boasts 4.8 million social media followers, captioned his Instagram post. 'Wishing you peace, love and happiness... forever.'
Cyrus proceeded to sing and strum his acoustic guitar to his 2007 song Ready, Set, Don't Go, and he also dedicated his performance to his late mother Ruthie, his 'friends' at Disney, and Hannah Montana Nation.
The two-time Grammy winner's Billboard hit duet with their superstar daughter Miley Cyrus was also featured in a season two episode of her Disney Channel sitcom. 'All you Hannah Montana fans, you remember that episode,' Cyrus concluded. 'True story.'
Family Reactions and Past Struggles
The former couple's youngest daughter Noah Cyrus commented: 'I was given the best parents in the whole world. Life's so special. Happy birthday to my mommy and mamaw! I miss my grandma every day.'
The HopeTown Entertainment founder claimed her April 2022 divorce from Cyrus caused a 'complete psychological breakdown' after 28 years of marriage and prior legal separations in 2010 and 2013.
'When I literally was going through my divorce and trying to make that decision of stepping out of a 30-year marriage, I was terrified mostly,' Cyrus-Purcell (born Leticia Finley) told People in 2024. 'I thought I was going to be alone forever. And that was one of the times that I had the crippling breakdown of anxiety. I joke about it and say I had a complete psychological breakdown. There were 30 days where I was not eating, sleeping, just felt like I was just coming out of my skin. And it was really scary.'
New Relationships and Family Dynamics
The On Our Way Along singer quickly moved on with Australian singer Firerose in August 2022, but their seven-month marriage acrimoniously ended in 2024. Cyrus then began dating his Christmas in Paradise co-star Elizabeth Hurley last year after meeting on the Caribbean set of the Kelsey Grammer comedy in 2022.
The Sorry We're Cyrus podcaster also quickly moved on with Prison Break alum Dominic Purcell in November 2022, and they wed nine months later despite him having previously dated her 26-year-old daughter Noah.
Aside from Noah and Miley, the amicable exes also welcomed 32-year-old son Braison, and Cyrus adopted her two children - daughter Brandi, nearly 39, and son Trace, 37 - from her three-year marriage to ex-husband Baxter Helson, which ended in 1989.

Cyrus previously welcomed his first child - 34-year-old son Christopher Cody Cyrus - with babymama Kristin Luckey. The Kentucky-born grandfather is next scheduled to perform June 18 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
