Brad Alexander's Role in The Testaments
In The Testaments, Alexander portrays Garth Chapin, a Guardian and a member of the Mayday resistance. The series, based on Margaret Atwood's Booker Prize-winning novel, follows the journeys of young women in Gilead as they transition from Plums to Wives. The cast includes Chase Infiniti as Plum Agnes MacKenzie, Lucy Halliday as Daisy, and Ann Dowd reprising her role as Aunt Lydia. Alexander's role marks his most significant acting achievement to date.
From Modelling to Acting
Brad Alexander hails from Weston-super-Mare in Somerset. Before stepping into the entertainment industry, he studied marketing at university. His career began in modelling, which led him to work as a background artist. He made his screen debut in 2023 on Netflix's You, playing Edward. He also appeared in the BBC crime drama Lynley and Apple TV+'s Surface.
His big break came when he worked as a background artist on Netflix's Anatomy of a Scandal. His knowledge of the original novel impressed the director, earning him a few lines, as reported by The Standard.
Future Projects and Interests
Alexander has expressed a desire to explore various fields. In an interview with The Greatest Magazine, he stated: "Right now I'm a writer, business owner and, very recently, actor. I hope to have a whole new set of titles in five years." He is set to star in an upcoming Netflix series from Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, details of which remain under wraps.
