Former TOWIE star Bobby Norris has shared new, graphic photographs of his severely swollen and bruised face with fans after undergoing another round of extensive cosmetic surgery. The 39-year-old reality television personality shocked his followers earlier last month by revealing his painful, post-operative appearance, which resulted from a comprehensive surgical procedure.
Details of the Surgical Procedures
Bobby Norris went under the knife for a combined face and neck lift, as well as a lower blepharoplasty, which targets the skin beneath the eyes. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, he posted a video recorded while still in the hospital immediately after his surgery, accompanied by recovery tips for his audience.
Graphic Post-Surgery Appearance
In the distressing clip, Bobby's face appeared extremely swollen, with his eyelids red and puffy to the point where he struggled to see clearly. He candidly described his discomfort, stating: 'I had a really bad night's sleep last night, didn't really sleep much.' Bobby added further details about his condition, noting: 'My eyes are very sore and dry today.'
Fan Reactions and Concern
Fans were less interested in the practical advice he offered and instead flooded him with messages expressing deep concern and sadness. One follower wrote: 'I find it really difficult to watch this. You were fine the way you were,' while another commented: 'So worried :( I hope Bobby realises he is beautiful and just stops.' Additional responses included: 'Bobby I really hope this is an older video as you still look in so much pain,' 'PLEASE STOP! This is heartbreaking, you were beautiful. Please stop,' and 'Why put yourself through this, makes me feel so sad for you.'
History of Cosmetic Treatments
His latest treatments follow a previous surgery in 2024 for an Upper Blepharoplasty. Initially, Bobby explained: 'So I had surgery done yesterday so this is my first day post op, I thought I'd do a little bit of an update for you.' He detailed the procedures, saying: 'So I've had face lift, a lower Lower Blepharoplasty which is like the lower skin under the eyes, had a neck lift.' Gazing at his reflection, he humorously remarked: 'We're not getting the Vogue cover this month.'
Background and Previous Statements
Bobby joined TOWIE in 2012 and became well-known for his friendship with Gemma Collins and various romances, including with ex Harry Derbidge. In 2024, he was forced to shut down speculation that he was undergoing gender reassignment surgery after having multiple cosmetic treatments that dramatically transformed his appearance. He told followers: 'I've had upper left blepharoplasty, an upper eye lid surgery. I've had my buccal fat removed from my cheeks, I've had liposuction under my chin and 360 body liposuction.'
He has previously admitted to 'falling down the rabbit hole of having fillers' after being offered free treatments during his time on TOWIE. Last year, Bobby spoke about the realisation that he had gone 'too far,' confessing: 'Sometimes you aren't aware of how you look until you see certain pictures or a paparazzi shot. I don't look like me anymore.'
Expert Analysis on Cosmetic Procedures
Cosmetic surgery expert Dr Mo Hamed, who specialises in natural aesthetics, previously told Daily Mail: 'When Bobby started on TOWIE, he was very baby faced, given his young age, with minimal to no treatments.' Dr Hamed elaborated: 'Throughout the years, he's had multiple cosmetic procedures including Botox, jawline filler, and cheek filler but now Bobby has taken his adjustments to the next level by undergoing surgical, non-reversible enhancements.'
He further explained: 'He has recently spoken about having his buccal fat removed, which is where a surgeon takes the fat between your cheek bones and your jawline to give the client a more contoured and sunken in model appearance and chiselled jawline.' Dr Hamed warned: 'But the longterm impact of losing your buckle fat pad can be disastrous because it can help to give the face a more youthful look as you get older. Bobby has also described having 360 liposuction, where he would have had extensive fat removal from multiple areas of his body.'
