"Britney had a fun time celebrating Christmas with Jayden," the insider revealed, adding, "It's been such a special holiday." This gathering comes after a period of estrangement and a subsequent reconciliation between Britney and her sons earlier in 2024.
While Jayden joined his mother on the West Coast, her eldest son, Sean Preston Federline, 20, spent the holidays in Louisiana. Reports from TMZ indicate he remained there due to a work obligation. Instead, he celebrated with his aunt, Jamie Lynn Spears, his grandmother Lynne Spears, and other members of his extended family.
Separate Family Festivities
On Christmas Day, Jamie Lynn Spears shared a series of festive images on Instagram, offering a glimpse into their family gathering. One group photo featured Sean Preston with his arms around his grandmother and his 17-year-old cousin, Maddie. The actress was also joined by her husband, Jamie Watson, and their two daughters.
Notably, Sean Preston appeared only once in the carousel of photos, which primarily showcased Jamie Lynn's immediate family and their Christmas gifts. The post was captioned with a simple "Merry Christmas."
A Complex Family History
The separate holiday plans highlight the ongoing, complex dynamics within the Spears-Federline family. Britney was married to dancer Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. They share custody of their two sons, though Federline was granted sole physical custody in late 2007.
