The 42-year-old TV personality and the 44-year-old musician, whose real name is Samuel Preston, have undergone significant personal transformations in the two decades since their initial encounter on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006.
A Relationship Forged in the Spotlight
Chantelle and Preston's love story began under the unique circumstances of the Celebrity Big Brother house, where Chantelle famously entered as a non-celebrity and successfully convinced Preston and other housemates that she was a member of the fictional girl band Kandy Floss. Their romance quickly blossomed, leading to marriage shortly after the show, but the union was short-lived, ending in divorce not long after.

In a candid interview with Betway, Chantelle reflected on how both she and Preston have evolved as individuals over the years. She emphasised that the passage of time and life experiences have fundamentally altered who they are, making a rekindling of their past romance impossible.
Chantelle stated: 'We’re totally different people from who we were then. It’s been 20 years! I’ve been through experiences that have completely changed me, and I’m sure he has, too. We’re just very, very, very different people now.'
She elaborated further, noting that while she retains some aspects of her younger self, the changes are profound. 'Back in my 20s, I was one person, and now, in my 40s, I’m still that person in some ways, but I’m also very, very different. If we were both single and met for the first time now, there wouldn’t be that same spark.'

Despite the absence of romantic potential, Chantelle revealed that she and Preston have maintained a cordial relationship. They continue to message each other occasionally, and there is no lingering animosity between them. Chantelle expressed genuine well-wishes for Preston, who is reportedly engaged to someone new.
She explained: 'We still message every now and then. I think he’s engaged to someone now. We’re still friendly, there’s no bad blood. We didn’t have an awful falling out. Obviously, there were problems and a bit of animosity at the time, but no, I genuinely wish him well.'
Chantelle also highlighted the unique bond they share from their shared experiences, which she believes no one else can fully understand. 'We’ve been through so much together that no one else will really understand. That friendship still matters. It’s good memories, and it’s something we did once in our lives.
