Even the most ruthless of social climbers can crack a smile occasionally. Actress Christina Hendricks was seen enjoying the sunshine in Glasgow on Sunday as she filmed scenes in the city for a third series of Apple TV's The Buccaneers.
Known for her iconic role as Joan Holloway in Mad Men, the actress was seen walking her dog Triscuit between takes. During filming, the star appeared to get into a carriage as her co-stars including Kristine Froseth and Alisha Boe stood behind her on the steps.
Ms Hendricks donned a frilly blue coat, with a navy skirt and a brown hat on top for the scenes in the period drama. Based on Edith Wharton's novel about a group of wealthy American girls who marry into landed English gentry, it was being filmed in the city's Kelvingrove area.
Ms Hendricks stars alongside Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe and Josie Totah in the popular show. She plays the character Patricia St. George in the Apple TV series, being filmed in the west end of the city. The city’s Mitchell Library was transformed into a New York courthouse for one scene.
Series three of The Buccaneers was announced in October 2025 following the success of series two.
