Coleen Nolan 'Blanked by Family' Over Loose Women Admissions

Coleen Nolan has revealed that her family sometimes gives her the silent treatment after she discusses personal topics on Loose Women. The 60-year-old singer and TV star, who rose to fame with the Nolan sisters, admitted that her openness on the ITV panel show can lead to awkwardness at home.

Speaking to the Mirror, Nolan said she warns her family in advance when sensitive subjects like children or divorce are likely to come up. 'I say to them, 'Look, I do a show and if a topic about kids or divorce comes up, I'm going to talk about it,'' she explained. However, she noted that she hesitates to share information that might affect those closest to her until it is 'settled'.

Nolan, who split from her second husband Ray Fensome in 2018, waited several years before discussing the breakup on air. 'I'm always aware of the other person; it's not fair on them,' she said. 'Obviously, when it's all done, I'll say, 'Yeah, it was a hard couple of years,' but not while we're going through it.'

Addressing rumours of behind-the-scenes tension on Loose Women, Nolan dismissed them as untrue. 'On my children's lives, that's just not true,' she said. 'We are exactly like how we are on-screen.' She also criticised the trolling female panellists face on social media, noting that male panellists rarely receive similar criticism.

Nolan, who moved to a six-acre farm in Staffordshire in 2024, said she does not feel like a 'celebrity'. 'I'm happiest at home, covered in horse poo and taking the dogs for a walk,' she said. She is currently preparing for her second solo tour, 'This Is Me', which promises a mix of stories, Q&A, and songs.
