Coleen Nolan breaks social media silence after sister Linda's cancer update

Coleen Nolan has made her first social media appearance since her sister Linda Nolan's heartbreaking cancer update. The 65-year-old singer revealed that tumours in her brain have grown after ongoing treatment stopped working.

Coleen, 59, was seen whizzing around on a chair in the Loose Women studios, smiling and telling the team: "I've missed you." She also posted on Instagram to inform fans she would be appearing on This Morning.

Linda, a Mirror columnist, shared the difficult news that her most recent scans show growth of the two largest tumours at the front and left side of her brain, as well as a slight increase of smaller cancerous spots. She was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2005 and later found secondary breast cancer had spread to her brain last spring.

Despite the setback, Linda is set to start a new chemotherapy drug called Enhertu tomorrow. She said: "To be able to try a new drug is amazing... To be able to try this is hope – it’s a plan B not everyone is being allowed."
