Coleen Rooney has been soaking up the Caribbean sun, showcasing her impressively toned physique during the family's traditional New Year holiday in Barbados.
Sun-Soaked Family Getaway
The mother-of-four was pictured on Wednesday enjoying the beach alongside her husband, former England footballer Wayne Rooney, and their sons: Kai, 16, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six. The Rooney clan, including Coleen's parents Colette and Tony, as well as some of Wayne's former teammates, have made their annual pilgrimage to the island paradise.
Coleen, a dedicated gym and Pilates enthusiast at her Cheshire home, looked in incredible shape. She sported a chic black and white striped bikini, opting for a bandeau-style top to avoid strap lines. The matriarch was clearly relaxed, enjoying a drink and a chat with Wayne on a sun lounger, though she did sport a slightly sunburnt chest from her hours of sunbathing.
Watersports and Beach Fun
While Coleen relaxed, the boys were full of energy. Wayne, 40, was soon in the thick of the action, taking to the water on a jet ski first with Klay—who was sporting an arm cast—and then with Kit. The former Manchester United star was later seen strolling shirtless along the beach. Younger sons Kit and Cass also enjoyed an adrenaline-filled ride on an inflatable dinghy.
The family are frequent visitors to Barbados, where they own a substantial property. They purchased a £5 million five-bedroom villa on the island back in 2010, which features an infinity pool with a link bridge and can sleep up to 14 people. They rent out the luxury holiday home when not using it themselves.
Festive Preparations and Lavish Home
This tropical break follows a festive period spent at their primary residence, a £20 million mansion in Cheshire's exclusive 'Golden Triangle'. Reports suggest the couple spent tens of thousands of pounds on extravagant Christmas light displays at the property, named High Lake Manor, which are so bright they are visible from aircraft approaching Manchester Airport.
Just before Christmas, Coleen treated her family to a "magical" day out at LaplandUK, sharing heartwarming snaps from the seasonal experience. The Rooneys' sprawling Cheshire estate boasts a home cinema, underground spa, snooker room, wine cellar, stables for 14 horses, and even a private football pitch, marking a world away from their sunny Caribbean retreat.
