During Monday's episode (June 30), the trial began with Will taking the stand and changing his statement, claiming he had lied about his relationship with Megan. This development suggests Megan's time on the cobbles may be coming to an end.
Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman, shared a photo on Instagram of himself with Beth Nixon, who appeared to have been crying behind the scenes at the Salford set. He captioned the post: "FRIENDS REALLY. I really enjoyed working with Beth. Megan really tormented Sam and pushed him right over the edge but shows what a great baddie she is!"

Background of the Grooming Plot
Megan's storyline began when Will Driscoll, an athletics trainee, refused to move to Weatherfield with his family. The truth emerged in March when Sam Blakeman, who had discovered the secret and was threatened by Megan, ended up in hospital and confessed to stepmother Leanne Battersby and Will's stepmother Eva.
