On Tuesday, Courtney Stodden made her first public appearance since undergoing breast reduction surgery on May 20. The 31-year-old former teen bride was seen clutching her downsized chest over a black sports bra while dining al fresco at Café Sheera in Beverly Hills, California.
Supportive Husband by Her Side
Stodden was accompanied by her second husband, four-time Daytime Emmy winner Jared Safier, who leaned down to give her a kiss. The 43-year-old Safier Entertainment CEO carried her purse as the blonde bombshell appeared in great spirits after breakfast and a follow-up appointment with Dr. Stuart Linder.
Details of the Procedure
Dr. Linder, the 61-year-old plastic surgeon, told TMZ: 'High profile, narrowed her, tapered view, still has great upper fullness and cleavage, smaller implants, more proportionate for her body frame. Made the areolas smaller and cute.' Stodden, who sang Britney Spears' 2000 song Stronger in the operating room, had previously stated her 'girls' deserve a 'graceful retirement' and are 'officially entering their smaller, softer, more elegant era.'
Previous Cosmetic Procedures
Last September, Stodden reportedly paid Dr. Gary Motykie $20,000 for a revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and facial fat grafting. She has also admitted to having a DD breast augmentation in 2013 at age 18, a rhinoplasty in 2016, 14 years of lip fillers (dissolved last year), and porcelain veneers.
Criticism of Spencer Pratt
On May 14, Stodden revealed why she is not voting for Spencer Pratt in the LA mayoral race of the June 2 midterm elections, despite both appearing on Big Brother's Bit on the Side in 2013. Via TikTok, she said: 'I've known Heidi [Montag] and Spencer for years through reality TV. This isn't some deep personal attack, but I also can't ignore what a lot of people are saying to me. Spencer feels like a professional grifter - someone who knows how to turn chaos, controversy, attention into a brand.'
The Washington State-born vegan claimed the 42-year-old Hills alum would message her on Twitter when she was 16-17, 'supporting' her scandalous decade-long marriage to Green Mile alum Doug Hutchison. 'Even talking about going out on a double date with us. At the time, I literally thought that that was acceptance, but looking back now as an adult honestly, disturbs me,' Stodden said. 'No grown adult should have been encouraging that relationship, treating it like cool. Honestly, he feels like [President Donald] Trump without the tan. Same attention seeking strategies, same turning politics into performance art.'
She added: 'I think we should've learned our lesson by now about reality personalities trying to run cities. LA needs real leadership not another person chasing headlines.'
Past Marriage and Advocacy
The 66-year-old Actor Award nominee, now living in Royal Oak, MI, was 50 in 2011 when he wed the then 16-year-old Stodden after she paid to attend his online acting workshop. They renewed vows in 2016, separated eight months later, and filed for divorce in 2018, finalized in 2020. Stodden now uses her 529,600 Instagram/TikTok following to promote organizations like Unchained At Last, dedicated to ending forced and child marriage in the US, including a June 3 rally at the Ohio Statehouse.
'34 states in America still allow child marriage under legal exceptions, which means minors can be married with parental or judicial approval, and that should disturb all of us,' the PETA activist wrote on March 1. 'Stop calling it dating, stop calling it tradition, and stop pretending it is consent because children cannot legally or ethically consent to adults. This is about protection, not politics.'
Personal Loss and Career
It has been two years since Stodden and Safier suffered the tragic loss of their child at 'around 10 weeks.' The married couple of 17 months have collaborated on several projects, including her films Hands and Fatal Detour, as well as her Lifetime movie I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story. Stodden will next portray Lauren Miller in the upcoming action thriller In the Red, written, produced, and directed by Safier.
