Dave Grohl Asks Four Questions at Foo Fighters Anfield Show

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl posed four questions to the crowd as the band took the stage for their second show at Anfield Stadium on June 27, 2026. The concert marked the final night of two huge performances at the home of Liverpool FC.

Grohl's Opening Questions

Before the band kicked off the show, Grohl shouted to the audience: "Are you ready? Are you f***ing ready? Do you want to dance? Come on!" The crowd erupted with cheers and applause as the band launched into their track 'All My Life'.

Grohl then added: "Listen, I know the answer, but I'm going to ask you anyway. Do you mother f*****s love rock and roll music? Everything I learned about rock and roll came from this city, so come on!"

Foo Fighters at Anfield

The band made their debut at Anfield on June 25, 2026, to a sell-out crowd. This run of shows is the first time the Foo Fighters have performed at the stadium. However, Grohl previously joined Sir Paul McCartney on stage at Anfield in 2008 during Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture, performing versions of 'Band On The Run' and 'Back In The USSR'.

Foo Fighters are expected to play their biggest hits, including 'The Pretender', 'Best Of You', 'Everlong', and 'Walk'.

Band History

The Foo Fighters were formed by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl after Kurt Cobain's death in 1994. Initially a solo recording project, the band expanded when Grohl brought in additional musicians for their first live performances in 1995. Over three decades, they have become one of the world's most successful rock acts, with hits like 'My Hero', 'All My Life', and 'Best of You'.
