Viscount Louis Spencer, the 30-year-old son of Earl Spencer and heir to the Althorp Estate, has secured a major role in an upcoming Hollywood film. The ultra-private actor, who uses the stage name Louis John Lyons, trained at ArtsEd in Chiswick and is represented by Tavistock Wood Talent Agency, whose clients include Dominic West and Lily James.
Louis is the middle child of Earl Spencer and his first wife, Victoria Aitken. After their divorce in 1997, he moved to Cape Town with his mother, attending the prestigious Diocesan College. He later studied at Edinburgh University before pursuing acting.
Despite being the nephew of Princess Diana, Louis prefers to keep his royal heritage private. His father, Earl Spencer, has expressed pride in his son's dedication, noting in 2019 that Louis was working 14-hour days at drama school.
Due to the principle of primogeniture, Louis is expected to inherit the 13,000-acre Althorp Estate, which has been in the Spencer family since 1508. His sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, has publicly supported this tradition, stating that Louis will 'do an incredible job' managing the estate.
