Emma Raducanu is aiming to secure the second Grand Slam title of her career at Wimbledon this summer. The British number one has never advanced beyond the fourth round at the All England Club but feels confident about a deeper run this year. Since winning the US Open in 2021, Raducanu has become one of the most recognizable figures in tennis.
Currently, she is competing in the final at Queen's, where she will face Croatia's Donna Vekic. Vekic defeated British number three Katie Boulter in straight sets to earn her place. However, Raducanu's personal life has often garnered as much attention as her on-court achievements.
Split from Billionaire Boyfriend
In 2023, Raducanu was reportedly dating Carlo Agostinelli, son of Robert Agostinelli, a business magnate and co-owner of private equity firm Rhone Group. The relationship became public after they were seen together at Paris Fashion Week. However, by 2024, the romance had ended, with Raducanu reportedly blocking Agostinelli on social media.
The Carlos Alcaraz Rumors
Speculation about Raducanu and Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz has persisted since they played together at the 2025 US Open. Raducanu has consistently stated they are just close friends, despite Alcaraz's 2024 comment about seeking a romantic partner. She dismissed the rumors, emphasizing their long-standing friendship and genuine connection.
Raducanu noted, "It is nice... we really value those connections from when we were young. Because when you become more known, you revert to people you knew from a young age for genuine connection." She recalled their time at the US Open, where Alcaraz had a breakout win over Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The 'Terrible' Question
Fellow British player Cameron Norrie was also rumored to be a love interest, but he swiftly denied it. During a Wimbledon press conference, a reporter asked Norrie directly if he was dating Raducanu. A perplexed Norrie, who is in a long-term relationship with Louise Jacobi, replied, "Sorry?!" The reporter persisted, and Norrie firmly denied the claim.
Raducanu later laughed off the awkward exchange, calling it "terrible." She reflected on the speculation, saying, "It comes with the territory... people are more curious about this than tennis results. I keep my private life to myself."
