Gladiators star Jamie 'Giant' Bigg, 40, has reportedly split from OnlyFans model Taylor Ryan, 28, just weeks after BBC bosses axed him from the show over their relationship. The couple, who went public in April, have gone their separate ways, with Bigg hinting at the breakup in a reflective Instagram post on Tuesday.
Relationship Cost Him His Job
Bigg was fired from the BBC series after three seasons, with the broadcaster citing 'child safeguarding' concerns linked to Ryan's OnlyFans content. The athlete expressed shock and disappointment, stating he was 'shocked and disappointed' by the decision. A Gladiators spokesperson confirmed his departure, saying: 'After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We'd like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.'
Breakup Confirmed by Social Media Post
In his Instagram post, Bigg wrote: 'Lately, I've spent a lot of time reflecting. Not on what I've achieved, but on who I want to become. Right now, I'm doing what I find the hardest... I'm taking the time I need to work on myself.' According to the Daily Mail, he has flown to Spain for space. A source said: 'They haven't ruled out getting back together in the future but Jamie knows he needs to work on himself right now.'
Ex-Wife Reacts to Relationship
Bigg's ex-wife Katie Christian, from whom he split in late 2025 after 13 years of marriage, expressed hurt over the new relationship. She wrote on Instagram: 'Finding out about a new relationship so soon has been a shock. It’s hurtful and it’s painful to take in, especially as I’m still processing the breakdown of my marriage of 13 years. We’re not even divorced yet, which makes this even harder to sit with.' The couple share two children.
Bigg Defends Relationship
In April, Bigg defended his relationship with Ryan, calling her 'someone I’m incredibly proud of' and noting her work as a dog fosterer and entrepreneur. He said: 'During conversations with the BBC, ‘child safeguarding’ was raised, something I take extremely seriously, especially as a father and role model. I want to be clear that I have always upheld the standards expected of me, both professionally and personally.'
