Grimes Baffles Fans With Circular Face Tattoo

Grimes has left fans puzzled after revealing a new face tattoo that she says 'no-one noticed'. The Canadian singer, 37, posted a selfie on Instagram showing a red line circling her left eye, barely visible beneath a pair of large black glasses.

In her post, Grimes explained that she had spent ten years working up to getting a face tattoo, but that because she often draws on her face, even her parents failed to notice. The tattoo was created by cybersigilism artist Glyphomancer, a style that blends ancient symbolism with futuristic aesthetics.

The singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, also showcased the tattoo in the music video for her new song 'Artificial Angels', released last week. She described the ink as her 'favourite tat' on X, formerly Twitter.

Grimes had previously expressed interest in getting a face tattoo, asking fans for their thoughts in 2022. She also shared a list of desired body modifications, including vampire teeth and elf ears. In 2023, she debuted two large leg tattoos, one in red ink and the other in black.

The singer is also known for her on-off relationship with Elon Musk, with whom she shares three children. The pair are believed to have separated fully in 2023.
