Holly Ramsay & Adam Peaty's Wedding Drama: Mum Uninvited Ahead of December 27 Ceremony
Holly Ramsay & Adam Peaty's Wedding Drama: Mum Uninvited

Holly Ramsay and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty are in the final countdown to their December 27 wedding in Bath, but preparations are overshadowed by a significant family rift that has left the groom's mother excluded from the celebrations.

Luxury Pre-Wedding Festivities and a Notable Absence

The couple, who announced their engagement in September 2024, are set to exchange vows at the historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bath. In the days leading up to the ceremony, Holly Ramsay has been enjoying pre-marital festivities, including a lavish meal at her father Gordon Ramsay's Mayfair restaurant, Lucky Cat.

Joined by friend and influencer Eve Winnington, Holly shared glimpses of a meal featuring prawns, caviar and sushi, where the 'chef's table' experience can cost up to £180 per person. This follows a recent luxury trip the couple took to Lapland, with Adam declaring himself "the luckiest man on earth".

However, the absence of Adam Peaty's mother, Caroline, from all pre-wedding events has become a focal point. It has been confirmed she is uninvited from the wedding itself, following a reported family feud.

The Roots of the Family Feud

The tensions are said to have begun around the time of the couple's engagement party in 2024, which was filmed for Gordon Ramsay's Netflix series. A source told The Sun that while Adam's family attended, Caroline was unhappy some relatives were not present and allegedly confronted Gordon Ramsay at the event.

Guests were required to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones due to the filming. The situation reportedly deteriorated further when Caroline bought her dress for the wedding and was told by Adam and Holly that they did not approve of it.

In November, the spat became public when Adam's aunt, Louise Williams, criticised Holly for not inviting Caroline to her hen do. This prompted Caroline to speak out, expressing her heartache but emphasising her unconditional love for her son.

Public Statements and Family Fallout

Adam Peaty broke his silence on the matter with a heartfelt statement on social media. He wrote about working to "improve myself as a person" and being a "worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete".

"We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story," he stated, adding that he, Holly, and his son Bethany would get through the challenging times. Holly Ramsay showed solidarity by sharing the post to her 400,000 followers.

In a direct message to her son, Caroline Peaty said, "I know it’s the end. But please... no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you... There's nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive." She added that she wished them a long and happy marriage.

Further complicating matters, Adam's brother James, who was originally set to be a groomsman, was allegedly arrested after sending "threats" to the swimmer, leading to his removal from the wedding party.

As the couple finalise preparations for their December 27 wedding in Bath, the focus remains split between their joyous union and the poignant family discord that will mark the occasion.
