Holly Ramsay in White as Family Travels to Bath for Wedding Without Adam Peaty's Family
Holly Ramsay heads to wedding without Adam Peaty's family

Holly Ramsay and her famous family have been seen departing for her highly anticipated wedding to Olympic champion Adam Peaty, an event now overshadowed by a significant family rift that will see most of the groom's relatives absent.

Family Departure Amidst Growing Tensions

On Boxing Day, the 25-year-old bride-to-be was photographed leaving her father Gordon Ramsay's London home, already opting for bridal white. Holly wore a elegant long white winter coat over a black top and trousers as she made her way to a waiting car.

The entire Ramsay clan was mobilising for the journey to Bath, where the couple are set to marry at the city's historic Abbey on 27 December. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was seen with his wife Tana, preparing to drive away from their Wandsworth mansion. Holly's sister Tilly, who competed on the same series of Strictly Come Dancing as Adam, was snapped getting into a Porsche.

A Wedding Overshadowed by Family Feud

The joyous preparations contrast sharply with the confirmed absence of most of Adam Peaty's family. Reports indicate his mother, Caroline, was uninvited from the wedding following a series of escalating disputes. It is believed Adam's sister, Bethany, will be the only member of the Peaty family in attendance.

The rift became public after Holly's hen party in November, which Caroline was not invited to, despite Gordon attending Adam's stag do. Caroline's sister, Louise Williams, subsequently took to social media to criticise her nephew for the "hurt" caused to his mother.

Matters intensified after Adam's stag celebration in Budapest. The swimmer allegedly received "increasingly abusive and threatening" messages from his brother, James, who was later arrested. The situation was deemed so serious that Adam was met by police officers on the runway at Manchester Airport over safety concerns.

Peaty Breaks Silence on "Challenging Times"

Adam Peaty has publicly addressed the turmoil in a recent Instagram post. He acknowledged facing "challenging times" and emphasised that "there are always two sides to every story." He expressed support for his fiancée Holly and his sister Bethany.

Peaty also stated he could not share full details due to an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that predate the recent events. This suggests the family discord is rooted in issues that have been developing for some time.

Despite the controversy, the couple appear focused on their nuptials. On Christmas morning, Holly posted a romantic image of the pair holding hands, captioned "Last Christmas as a Miss." Adam is believed to have spent the holiday with the Ramsay family, solidifying their union ahead of the wedding day in Bath.
