Jordyn Woods Engaged to NBA Star Karl-Anthony Towns After Four-Year Romance
Jordyn Woods Engaged to Karl-Anthony Towns

Model and influencer Jordyn Woods is set to marry her long-term partner, NBA basketball star Karl-Anthony Towns, after a romantic Christmas Day proposal. The couple shared their joyful news directly with fans via a joint Instagram post.

A Festive Proposal and Lavish Lifestyle

The engagement was announced on 25 December, with the pair posting a photograph captioned 'Marry Christmas.' In the image, the 29-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves centre is seen on one knee, presenting a ring to a visibly shocked Woods, aged 28.

The couple, who began dating in May 2020, have already established a life together in considerable luxury. In May 2024, they moved into a spectacular new property in the exclusive Hidden Hills enclave of Los Angeles, near Woods's former close friend Kylie Jenner.

The mansion, reportedly worth around $14 million (£11 million), boasts an array of extravagant amenities:

  • Seven bedrooms and seventeen bathrooms.
  • A 7,200-square-foot spa, sports, gym, and entertainment pavilion.
  • A regulation-size tennis court and a 13-seat home theatre.
  • A large barn with space for seven horses and garages for six cars.
  • Additional luxuries include a pastry station, a 350-bottle wine fridge, and a dedicated gift-wrap room.

From Friendship to Romance and a Major Career Move

Woods and Towns were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period of profound loss for Towns, who tragically lost seven family members, including his mother, to the virus. They confirmed their romance publicly in May 2020 and celebrated their four-year anniversary earlier this year.

The engagement comes shortly after a significant career shift for Towns. Earlier this month, he was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the New York Knicks after eight seasons. Woods hinted at the surprise of the move on Instagram but has since told followers she is 'starting to accept that [she's] about to be a New Yorker.'

Moving Past a Public Scandal

Woods's thriving relationship with Towns marks a new chapter five years after she faced intense public scrutiny. In 2019, she was at the centre of a media storm after admitting to a drunken kiss with Tristan Thompson, who was then in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

The incident led Kylie Jenner to sever ties with Woods, her then-best friend of six years, and contributed to Khloe's split from Thompson. Woods addressed the event on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk, calling it a mistake.

However, reconciliation has since taken place. Jenner and Woods reconnected in June 2023, with Jenner noting on her show that they now maintain a 'healthy distance.' The pair were recently seen together at a birthday party in Paris and in a TikTok video with friend Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou, signalling their repaired friendship.

Khloe Kardashian also stated in 2021 that she had forgiven both parties, allowing old wounds to heal as Woods moves forward into this new, celebratory phase of her life with Karl-Anthony Towns.
