Katie Price Buys New Pomsky Puppy in Dubai Amid Pet Deaths

Katie Price and her husband Lee Andrews have purchased a new pomsky puppy during their stay in Dubai, igniting a wave of concern among fans over the pet's welfare. The couple signed a contract at World of Pets on Saturday, paying 9,800 dirhams (approximately £2,000) for the male dog, a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian.

Details of the Purchase

In a video shared by Price, the couple is seen signing the document, with Andrews declaring they are "proud parents" to a "baby boy." Price can be heard saying they have no children "but this is our little boy." After signing, Price rushed off excitedly, leaving Andrews to handle the remaining signature. Andrews insisted the dog would be co-owned by both of them.

History of Pet Losses

The purchase comes just days after Price revealed that two of her Sphynx cats, Eileen and Doris, were stolen from her home while she was in Dubai. She posted on social media: "I came to Dubai Wednesday and my cats were home Tuesday night. I live in a private area and my cats don't just disappear. Whoever has them return them. They are my babies."

Price has a troubling history with pet fatalities. In 2023, her German Shepherd Blade was killed in a hit-and-run, six months after her Pomeranian Sharon died on the same road. That year, the RSPCA visited her home following the death of her seventh pet. Price claimed at the time that Blade was deliberately targeted, stating on Instagram: "Update - RSPCA have been up to my house not having any concerns about my animals and never had. We are trying to put together how Blade has been killed and his last steps as this is a deliberate target to kill him."

Fan Reactions

Fans have expressed alarm over the new puppy, particularly given Dubai's hot climate and the breed's thick double coat. One commenter wrote: "Husky in Dubai? Poor thing has two coats." Another added: "Rescue homes DO NOT put SOLD on the pens! They put 'reserved'. I just feel so sorry for this poor unsuspecting fur baby!!" A third questioned: "Where is home? Not a hotel?" while a fourth stated: "A husky in Dubai must be absolute torture for the poor pup!" A fifth fan remarked: "She's not even bought it, where it gonna live? Cause she deffo not bringing it back to uk."

Price's Previous Comments on Pets

Earlier this year, Price admitted she needed to "re-evaluate" her life regarding her numerous pets after marrying Andrews, who lives in Dubai. She said: "I've got to sort out what I'm going to do with the animals because obviously Lee's in Dubai and I'm going to keep going to Dubai and back. I've got 12 animals in the house. I know I like things excessive like big cars, big boobs, big bum, lots of animals, horses, this, that. I think I need to re-evaluate my life a little bit and just have a little think about everything. Because, yeah do I need so many animals? You know you gotta be there, all the time for them. Do I need….anyway everything I do is excessive, we all know that. You know that, I know that. So, I am gonna have to re-evaluate things in my life."
