Katie Price, 46, has once again sparked conversation after returning from Turkey following her sixth facelift and a boob reduction. The former model, who first rose to fame as a 17-year-old, has undergone numerous cosmetic procedures over nearly three decades, including 17 boob jobs and full body liposuction.
Price has admitted to struggling with body image, suggesting she may have body dysmorphia—a mental health condition characterised by excessive worry about appearance. Speaking on the Go Love Yourself! podcast, she said: "I've never thought I'm good-looking, and I still don't. Maybe I've got body dysmorphia, and [maybe] I have to admit I've got body dysmorphia because I'm always changing stuff."
Medical experts have weighed in on her repeated surgeries. Dr Olivia McCabe-Robinson told the Mirror that multiple procedures could indicate 'perception drift', where patients lose sight of natural beauty and become increasingly critical. Dr Julien De Silva added that a young woman in her mid-forties should not need more than two facelifts, noting that a reputable surgeon's work should last around ten years.
Price's first facelift was in 2017, followed by a second in 2018 which she claimed was needed to correct a botched job. She has since had further procedures in Turkey, including a third facelift in 2019 and subsequent alterations. Despite her history, Price has expressed satisfaction with her latest results, though it remains to be seen if this contentment will last.
